On my walk

October day

Walking through the park
on a warm October day,
I felt my soul lifting
as I went the usual way.
Through the path I wondered
squirrals raced through rustling leaves,
I stopped and watched the willow
sway in the warm autumnal breeze.
Falling leaves swirled 'round me
as I took in the sight,
sunlight lit the rippling lake
like stars in the night.

Autumn is the season
in which I fully thrive,
Instead of Fall, it should be Rise
because my spirit comes alive
