On a cold, rainy day

A Grandmother's sage advice to her Grandchildren

Storms rage on, but always pass,
Darkness abounds, but never lasts.
May you be the sunshine, may you be the light,
May you take the hard road, may you do what's right.
Hold onto what's good and throw out the rest,
It doesn't have to be perfect, you just do your best.
and treat all living creatures with love and respect,
for they have hearts too, so never neglect.
Love yourselves too, you are worth more than gold,
Never stop learning and do what your'e told.
You'll be proud of yourselves at the end of the day,
But most important of all, To God you must pray.
