Long Weekend

Well, I am having a four day weekend, so I will blog next Tuesday. Happy Memorial Day to all and Thank you for serving, Jim and Stan.

Memorial Day

I remember you
this Memorial day
Brave and true
you served abroad
to preserve the American Way.
I salute you Father
in my heart and in my mind
for you're my soldier and hero
always
Til the end of time.

Trip to the mall!

Hey, where are all the kids?
Look at all these cute puppys!
What I could do with one of these!
Can I have one? Please?
Then how bout a fish?
A pink car! Now we're talking!
How do you start this thing?
All aboard!

Trip to the Mall

I guess PopPop is getting old...
Cuz now I have to lead him around on a leash!
I like these bowls...
Let's go to Domestics!
Where is the princess bedding?
I could go with Disney.
PopPop, you like Handy Manny, how about some sheets?
Let's check out the mall now!
Are you sure you want to experience hurricane force winds?

chariots of fire

Let's go for a run, PopPop!
I can run like the wind!
Of course, endurance is key!
Oh no, I fell down!
Race ya back!
I see the finish line, I'm gonna win!
That's ok PopPop, you're a champion in my book!

What exactly is going on around here?

As the house is filling up with new swings, bouncy seats and pack and plays, while Noah and Shannon sort through boxes of baby clothes, I have to wonder what Tegan thinks about all of this!

Big News!

Sawyer will be born on June 25th at 7:30 in the morning! He is six pounds nine ounces now, so he's going to be a whopper! We are giddy with anticipation and Shannon is relieved that the end is in sight!

Tegan dines out

What a good idea to take one of her babies to the restaurant, she kept herself entertained.

Teganese

I have to laugh at the way Tegan talks, she sounds chinese. This weekend, she was clenching her teeth, causing a bubbling brew of spit and slobber to erupt, when she said 'SHOT'. I honestly think she is trying to say Shaun, but in any case, she's mastered the 'SH'
sound!

Let's get out of here!

We went looking for crib bedding for Sawyer on Friday night and Tegan was an angel!
In fact she was such a good girl all weekend long.

Fruit snacks

Here's a collage of Tegan enjoying My little pony fruit snacks

Mother's day

Happy Mother's day to all of the Mom's I know, especially you Fran! It was nice to share this day with my daughter, who is getting ready for another baby and another year of Motherhood. It is truly a privilege to watch her grow into this most important position. I am missing my sister Rose, who is probably one of the greatest Mothers of all and of course, my own Mum. Like I told Shannon, being a Mom is the most thankless, tiring and stressful job in the world, but the most rewarding job in the universe.

waxing poetic again

sunlight dances on fluttering leaves
as branches bend, stretching in the wind
my soul content to lay beneath sky
so clear and blue, with air warm and soft
baptising these old bones and making me feel new
on velvet grass I gaze above at that golden disc
thinking how lovely it is to be spring

Girls just wanna have fu-un

Doesn't she look like Cyndi Lauper in this outfit?

Here Mommy, I saved you a bite

What's a Mother to do when she leaves a piece of cake in the room, only to return to see that her precious little stinker has made off with it? Take a picture of course!

sigh

bad news....I can no longer access the blog from work....Damn the government! Maybe some scientist will protest this anti-blog madness and I'll be able to blog from the comfort, peace and quiet of my cold, gray government office once again. For now, I will have to blog from home, which will be difficult, since I usually hate getting on my computer at home and I'm too busy or tired. But as Bryan so insightfully noted, the world cannot be kept from Tegan. So I shall blog on!

Updates

Tegan is taking off her diaper now, so Noah put her on the potty and she peed! My friend Bea gave us a flat screen t.v. so now Tegan can watch videos in the living room, which she really seems to enjoy! Sawyer is 4 pounds now and Shannon will get an ultrasound in two weeks to determine his size. All is well with everyone else in the family.
