TGI Fridays

Afterward, we went to dinner where Tegan had a hard time deciding what she wanted from the menu.

Golden beauty

The smile that flickers on baby's lips when he sleeps- does anybody know where it was borne? Yes, there is a rumor that a young pale beam of a crescent moon touched the edge of a vanishing autumn cloud, and there the smile was first born . . . . - Rabindranath Tagore

Sunny day, every thing's A-OK

Here she is clapping and happy!

Our little pumpkin

Here is Tegan showing us how big she is when we ask
"How big is Tegan?"

Tegan in the leaves

It was so sunny and warm that we let Tegan play in the leaves

A day in the park

PopPop took Tegan for a stroll at Baker Park at noon, then once I got home, we both took her to the park since it was such a lovely day.

Apple of my eye to the second power

I am so proud of my daughter, of who she is and what she has accomplished, she has always been the 'apple of my eye'. That is why my granddaughter is so special to me, she is a creation of my apple, so the love I feel for her is doubled! Tegan is the special girl from my special girl :)

Quote of the day

Blessed are they who clip coupons, for they shall be redeemed.

Wispy hair day...

How cute is her hair? One of the nice things about fall is that Tegan wears clothes all the time now and is oh so snuggly in her pink footie pajamas. I think that I have personally plied her with 1000 kisses and hugs!

Tegan has so much fun!

Tegan has alot of fun playing!

She can 'walk' her command center, dance in it and has oh so much fun playing with all the gizmos!

What a happy girl! It is such a joy to watch her play and grow!

Please, more peas!

Alot of contemplations goes into pea-eating. Tegan is doing quite well at feeding herself and can pick up each tiny pea without smashng it. Of course, getting the peas in her mouth doesn't always work out, but she manages.

Tegan's new toys

Thanks to Uncle Brian and Aunt Marie, Tegan has new toys to play with. Heck, my living room looks like Kinder-care now, but I am happy that Tegan has alot of stimulating activities to do during the day.

She really enjoys playing now, so it's fun to watch her discover
how her toys work.

Quote of the day

If you’re afraid of butter, just use cream.

Sketti face!

Well, here are the obligatory spaghetti pictures of our little meatball!

She really enjoys eating and spaghetti is no exception. At one point, I was bringing the spoon up to her mouth and she slapped it out of the way, only to get pasta plastered on her sweet little face!

How can anyone resist this orange face?

Tegan is on the move

I really enjoy watching Tegan play. She is very curious about her world and it's fun to watch her inspect her toys, push, spin, toss and of course, taste. She can amuse herself now and it is really neat to see. She pulls herself up on everything now and gently plops down when she is finished. Yesterday, Shannon and Shaun watched her stand up in her crib without holding on to the rail!

Tegan is curious about dinner

Now that Tegan can crawl and pull herself up
on furniture, she can explore so many new things. Here is our little dumpling checking out the dinner table.

Come on, tooth number six!

As you can see from the steady stream of drool, Tegan is seriously teething!

Columbus Day

Ah, a day off, not that I ever get to sleep in...
I heard Tegan singing in her crib at 7:30, so I decided to let her mom sleep in, as I snatched the happy girl from her crib. I made french toast for breakfast, cutting her's into small pieces and putting them on her tray. She is really getting good at feeding herself. Next, we got ready and headed out into the crisp morning air...I had some shopping to do and a 50% off coupon for JoAnns. Tegan loved all the warm fall colors in JoAnns, she squealed and chattered the whole time we perused the shelves, looking for the optimum item on which to use my coupon. Afterwards, we went to Sam's club, where she made cute stinker faces to the unknown masses, which generated alot of chuckles and smiles. Since she is such a trooper, we went to Giant Eagle as well, where she happlily clapped and waved, emanating cuteness minute by minute. So for me, it was a fabulous day off, spending precious one on one time with my granddaughter.

Quote of the day

God brings men into deep waters not to drown them, but to cleanse them.

Tegan is a zoomer

Last night, Tegan was zooming around, zipping back and forth, in her walker. She was super energized. I felt sorry for Ashely because Tegan nearly knocked her off all fours several times!

Tegan in a hat

She is not too fond of hats but I managed to get one good picture of her...

PopPop's girl

Two peas in a pod, these two are. PopPop spend a lot of time with Tegan and he never turns down an opportunity to hold or play with her.
It reminds me of DadDad and Shaun when he was a baby. It just warms my heart to see these two together....

Pink and perfect!

Who can deny this face?

Like PopPop says, there is no denying her when she puts her arms up, you just have to grab her and cuddle. When she crawls over to you, you just have to play with her. When she cries, you have to hug and comfort her. And when she does something cute, you have to brag about it for days....

Quote of the day

Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.

2009 Sedwick Family Reunion

Thanks to Heather and Chris for putting on such a great spread and for providing the slide and moonbounce! The food was so delicious and grill master Chris outdid himself once again. A beautiful sunny day graced our reunion as the adults joked and chatted and the kids played in the park and on the slide and moonbounce. We missed having Randy, Carrie, Junior, Andrew and Lacy, Stanley, Mike, Stan and Mia, Robert, Ben, Steve, Kevin and his crew, Kim and Cameron, Betsy, Rob and his new wife. Of course, we all really missed Rosie, but I'm sure she is glad that we are keeping the tradition that she started, that she cared so deeply about. Until next year!

Mikalah and Matt

Boy, these two are sure growing up fast!

The crab eaters!

Tommy, Johnny and Zach put a hurting on the crabs!

Rachael practices Mommy skills!

Rachael holds Tegan. I don't know what we are going to do when we get home and Tegan wants to be held all the time!
