Tegan can stand by herself!

Yesterday, our brilliant, little star stood by herself several times! Here is a picture where she stands for a few seconds with her mommy's hands ready to catch her!

Quote of the day

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Stinky beans strikes again!

This is what I call the 'upward stinker face', given only when looming over our little miss and whispering 'stinker face'!

Quote of the day

It is important to live each day with a positive perspective. It is not wise to pretend problems do not exist, but it is wise to look beyond the problem to the possibilities that are in it. When Goliath came against the Israelites, the soldiers all thought, 'He's so big, we can never kill him.' But David looked at the same giant and thought, 'He's so big, I can't miss him.

Dr. Dale E. Turner

Looking back....

This is the first picture I took of Tegan. She was getting a full check up....measured and monitored, pricked and poked. I couldn't believe how big and pink she was, like a perfect baby doll. I immediately knick-named her 'Cheeks' because she was all cheeks, so kissable and pinchable! That day, December 29th, was one of the best days of my life and now each day is a happy day.

Tegan is 10 months old!

It is so hard to believe that our little darling is 10 months old! Every day is a new adventure, from watching her try new foods to watching her push buttons on her toys. She is a very curious child and she loves attention. She knows how to entertain an audience, she knows how to play the crowd with her adorableness! The happiness she has bought to this household is truly amazing.

Quote of the day

"No matter what looms ahead, if you can eat today, enjoy the sunlight today, mix good cheer with friends today, then enjoy it and bless God for it. Do not look back on happiness or dream of it in the future. You are only sure of today; do not let yourself be cheated of it."

Henry Ward Beecher

Stinker face on demand

Tegan will stinker face at the mere words of stinker face.
Such talent at a young age. Not matter what, her stinker face is hysterical and I can't get enough of it!

Tegan says 'mmmmmmmmmmmmm'

Today, when Shannon gave Tegan food, she said 'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm'.

Happy 19th Birthday

How can i hold starlight in my hand
or dance in rainbow's light,
on the highest mountain stand,
trace the path of angel's flight?
None of these can I do,
neither shall I miss...
for I have something better,
the warmth of my daughter's kiss.

She is our honey!

The buzz is....

Tegan is having antenna problems today!

Who's the busy bee today?

Well if it isn't Tegan Rose Grimm!
I'm trying to think...can anything or anyone be cuter than this? Nah.

Remember this?

One of the funniest moments at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina

Quote of the day

Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you've never been hurt and live like it's heaven on Earth.

Mark Twain

Tegan is computer literate!

Even Tegan keeps up with technology, as she taps away on her laptop computer. Mommy sits at the dining room table with her laptop, so it's only fitting that Tegs sits in her highchair with hers. Hmmm, could there be a facebook page on the horizon?

Quote of the day

Teething bites!

Tegan is cutting more teeth as you can see my the drool dripping off her chin. She has been fussy lately, I wonder what tooth is going to pop through next!

So spiffy

Now that there is a half of an inch of hair, we have to accessorize, right?

Major Stinker Face

This is the stinker face of all stinker faces, captured early Sunday morning.

Drumroll please! Tegan can pull herself up!

This is a picture taken right after Tegan pulled herself up using the couch! We are all so proud of her!

Tegan goes bye-bye with MomMom & PopPop

It's so nice that Tegan can sit up by herself, now she can go to the store with us. We just pop her in the cart and strap her in. She loves shopping just like her mommy. For some reason, she always comes home with a toy when MomMom and PopPop take her out. That's one of the privileges of being a grandparent.

Tegan got four shots!

Yesterday, Tegan got four shots! Being the trooper that she is,
her mood was anything but cranky! She was her usual playful, curious self...in fact she discovered the trash can in the kitchen! I guess I will
have to purchase a baby/dog proof kitchen can and soon!

Tegan and Angel

Tegan and her cousin Angel.

Tegan can do yoga!

Baby days can be stressfull you know, so a little yoga and meditation can make for a better day. True, it's no 'downward facing doggie', but it's a start!

Tegan hides from the papparazzi

Disguised as a Catholic School student and donning an uber large pair of sun glasses, our little super star has successfully dodged the paps...for now that is!

Tegan roots for the Redskins!

Our newest Redskins fan! Go Redskins Go!

MomMom pimped Tegan's ride!

Tegan was getting too tall for her walker, so Shannon and I went shopping for the ultimate Disney Princess, light and sounds walker.

Tegan can eat crackers!

Thanks to Aunt Heather, Tegan can now eat Ritz crackers! Here's the little darling, munching a cracker at the Olive Garden, where she also enjoyed Chicken Gnocci soup and angel hair pasta. She was quite the little lady at lunch with Shannon and I!

In loving memory, Rosemary Dent, beloved sister

What can we say
about our wonderful Rose?
How can we express or put into prose
what she meant to each one of us?
But that she was...
A beacon of light,
shining through storm the way home,
the thread that kept us together.
She stepped in and replaced
what was taken away,
took us all in, one way
or another.

A sister and friend,
on whom we could depend
She was someone we could rely on
A mother if need be, for support or advice,
and always a shoulder to cry on.

Her arms flowed with hugs,
her heart filled with love,
her deeds showed us how much she cared.
She gave, never took, neither left nor forsook
us and all that she had,
she shared.

So what can we say,
'bout our wonderful Rose?
Or how can we express or put into prose
what she meant to each one of us?
But that she was
an angel

Tegan can crawl!

Tegan has been on all fours for some time, but yesterday she discovered if you move your hands, you will move forward! Watch out world, the Teegster's on the move!

Tegan is under the table!

Well, I'm not having any luck posting videos today, so I thought I would post a cute picture of our sweetie beans. She is now holding her hands up in the air when she wants to be picked up (awww, we say when she does this). On the down side, she is pulling hair at every opportunity. I tell her not to pull MomMom's hair because it may not grow back, but the more you tell her 'no'....
