The joys of Christmas

How wonderful it is to introduce Tegan to Christmas.
Keeping her off of the Tree
will be a challenge, but we moved hookless ornaments to the bottom so that she can discover and explore. We have all decided that this Christmas was going to be all about Tegan!

Decorating for Christmas brings many challenges when you have a little one around. So while we were assembling the tree, we put Tegan in the Christmas tree box, and she was quite happy to sit and play with her babies. Keeping her away from the tree is another story...

Fisher price girl

Here is Tegan wearing the Fisher Price Telephone pajamas! She is too adorable for words! This weekend, I'm planning on getting the house decorated for Christmas. We usually do this the weekend after Thanksgiving, but since Frank will be here, I decided that he might enjoy

some Christmas spirit a little early. I haven't figured out just where to put the trees and how the heck I'm going to keep Tegan away from them. I thought I would wrap some large boxes and create a barrier around the tree. I just need some boxes!

It will be a busy weekend and hopefully the whole family will get involved. I can't wait to see Tegan's reaction to the decorations!

Dinna time!

Tegan just eats everything you give her. It is wonderful to watch her experience new foods. Now that she can feed herself (somewhat), dinner time is a pleasant time for all.

Autumn

I love autumn, it's my favorite season. My nesting instincts kick into overdrive as I love to prepare large pots of vegetable soup, chicken and dumplings and pumpkin pie. I love to get my house super clean and cozy, lighting my McIntosh candles in the evening, as we settle in on the dark, crisp nights. This is our first fall with the baby, and I'm enjoying snuggling with her in her footie pajamas, she is very lovable and if you catch her at the right moment, she puckers her little lips for kisses! Thanksgiving is next week and I am happy and thankful for all that I have.
