This little bunny did not enjoy the festivities last Easter, maybe her ears were too tight?

Tegan had two baskets awaiting her on Easter morning.

Easter

It seems like the earth blossomed this weekend, as the trees burst into a symphony of white, pink, and light green and daffodils and tulips bathed in the warm sun, while the smell of fresh cut grass permeated the soft, spring air. Easter! The most blessed Season arrived and we had a wonderful time. I have many pictures to edit, so I will be putting them on this blog throughout the week.
This one, is my favorite, and I could not wait to share!

Gearing up for Easter

There's already Easter basket grass all over my dining room floor as we prepare for the Easter holiday. While I revere what Easter as a Christian means, it's still alot of fun to do the 'bunny stuff' especially since we have Tegan to celebrate with. It's also neat to see my daughter buy her first Easter basket for her daughter. We have eggs to color, bird's nest cupcakes to bake, plastic eggs and baskets to fill in preparation. I remember what joy it was when my kids were little, to have an Easter egg hunt in the front yard and to take their picture next to the pink dogwood tree. Well, this year, the dogwood picture will have to wait, though the weather is going to ensure an eggscellent hunt! Plus, my brother Frank and his new leg will be joining us for the weekend! Happy birthday to my firstborn, wonderful son, Shaun, who is 28 today!

Front yard

So, we are going to have the Easter egg hunt here?

Maybe I'd better plot a course where I think the eggs might be!

and you did say there will be candy inside?

Those eggs are mine!

Day out with Tegan

Yesterday, I took Shannon for her 3 hour glucose test, so Tegan and I hit the shopping circuit for Easter things! While we had alot of fun and found an adorable Easter hat for her, I thought my arms were going to fall off at the end of the day! I didn't realize how difficult it would be hoisting her into her car seat and shopping carts! It's a good thing she likes to shop, because she didn't mind at all! When Shannon was done, we had a nice lunch at Red Lobster, (boy babies sure do leave alot of mess) and then went to Kmart and Toys R Us. Tegan's eyes were as big as saucers as we perused the baby dolls and girly toys! I love taking Tegan out, but I appreciate PopPop and all that he handles when we go!

Well, aren't I the bee's knees?
