Portraits in loveliness

A little girl's smile can ease worry and woe
They brighten the darkest of days
That's why God made them, didn't you know?
So that we can touch beauty and grace

The Easter egg hunt

Hooray, it's time for the Easter egg hunt!
Tegan finds an egg
and puts it in the basket. She caught on really fast!
She loves to put things in containers
so this task was perfect for her
Tegan zeroes in on the pink egg....

.............Score!...................
The eggs are everywhere!

Even in trees!
Mom and Dad help!
Sticks are fun too!
She spots another egg in the distance!
Everyone claps, including Tegan!
She digs deep for this one!
Tegan collected all eighteen eggs! She was so cute, it really made Easter special!

Easter

It seems like the earth blossomed this weekend, as the trees burst into a symphony of white, pink, and light green and daffodils and tulips bathed in the warm sun, while the smell of fresh cut grass permeated the soft, spring air. Easter! The most blessed Season arrived and we had a wonderful time. I have many pictures to edit, so I will be putting them on this blog throughout the week.
This one, is my favorite, and I could not wait to share!

Gearing up for Easter

There's already Easter basket grass all over my dining room floor as we prepare for the Easter holiday. While I revere what Easter as a Christian means, it's still alot of fun to do the 'bunny stuff' especially since we have Tegan to celebrate with. It's also neat to see my daughter buy her first Easter basket for her daughter. We have eggs to color, bird's nest cupcakes to bake, plastic eggs and baskets to fill in preparation. I remember what joy it was when my kids were little, to have an Easter egg hunt in the front yard and to take their picture next to the pink dogwood tree. Well, this year, the dogwood picture will have to wait, though the weather is going to ensure an eggscellent hunt! Plus, my brother Frank and his new leg will be joining us for the weekend! Happy birthday to my firstborn, wonderful son, Shaun, who is 28 today!

Front yard

So, we are going to have the Easter egg hunt here?

Maybe I'd better plot a course where I think the eggs might be!

and you did say there will be candy inside?

Those eggs are mine!
